Mathematics Placement Tests

The Department of Mathematics will administer Mathematics Placement Tests to all incoming students who do not have college-level credit in mathematics. There are two readiness tests: algebra and calculus. Readiness test scores will be used for course placement. Take the readiness test that is most appropriate for your abilities and/or mathematics course needed for your major.

Math 101 - Elementary Algebra Math 102 - Intermediate Algebra	Algebra Readiness
Math 103 - College Algebra Math 104 - Finite Mathematics	Algebra OR Calculus Readiness
Math 105 - Trigonometry Math 107 - Precalculus Math 146 - Applied Calculus I Math 165 - Calculus I	Calculus Readiness

Register for the appropriate course based on the Mathematics Placement Test score. You will be asked to drop any higher level courses.

MATH 101 and MATH 102

Availability of the class is dependent upon enrollment. Please note that the course will count toward credit totals for financial aid, but not toward the total credits required for graduation. These courses are not subject to the tuition cap.
