Students of Allied Sciences recently participated in a service project for Project Linus. Project Linus is a national organization with chapters in all 50 states and is a fun opportunity for students to give back to their community. The organization distributes handmade blankets locally to children in shelters, hospitals, and social service agencies. The goal of volunteers, also called “blanketeers,” is to provide a sense of warmth and security to children in need. About 30 students got together Tuesday, September 25, and assembled eight fleece tie blankets. The blankets were then donated to Project Linus, who will distribute them to children in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
