Graduates in the radiologic sciences specialty of sonography and echocardiography play important roles in helping the healthcare team learn more information to help treat patients.

Class of 2022 Fargo Sanford Sonography Program graduates had reasons to celebrate this spring. Congratulations to diagnostic medical sonography graduates:  Kasey Cookman, Morgan Eisenschenk, Ashley Erickson, and Brenna Haugen. Kudos to echocardiography graduates Rose Dobie, Kelsey Moe, and Brianna Rosenfeldt.

The need for diagnostic medical sonographers and cardiovascular technicians is expected to jump 14 percent through 2030, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In radiologic sciences, you begin with two or more years of pre-radiologic sciences academic courses, and then a 21- to 24-month full-time professional internship within a hospital-based program affiliated with NDSU.
