Web Standards

Obviously copied ...

The NDSU website is one of the primary ways in which North Dakota State University presents itself to the world and communicates to its various audiences. Therefore, it is essential that all web pages impart a visual presence that is unified, of high quality, and accurately represents the university—both in function and appearance. The standards in this section of the Communications Guide apply to all institutional web sites (colleges, schools, departments, administrative units, institutes, centers, programs, divisions, etc.) regardless of domain (.edu, .com, .org, etc.) or hosting platform (CMS, Pubweb, vendor-hosted, etc).

All NDSU web pages and applications are required to meet the university standards in all of the following areas:

All institutional web pages must include appropriate contact information, such as email address, mailing address, physical location, and/or phone number. Any contact listed on a web page must be able to respond to inquiries about the page/site in a timely manner, i.e., 2 business days or less. This contact information may link to a web form instead of an individual email address.

Addition information related to web development at NDSU:

The ASU Web site is governed by the Digital Strategy Board. The board sets direction and standards that apply to all pages on the site. All institutional web pages must also conform to the requirements of ACD 125, the university's policy on computer, internet and electronic communications.
