Nelnet Commerce Manager

Commerce Manager is intended as a “payment button” or link. The rest of the customer’s information may reside on a 3rd party application, or an in-house database. The use of this system enables departments to collect payment securely.

Commerce Manager features:

  • Allows for one-time or recurring payments.
  • Departments can work with Customer Account Services to set up multiple ‘orders’ that can be customized by type of payment collected.
  • Will update General Ledger accounts
  • Payors can use credit cards to pay for purchases (ACH/webcheck is also available but does come with the inability to refund directly back to the payment method).
  • Commerce Manager links can be posted on your departmental website, sent to individual customers via email, or connected to a 3rd party application (please contact Customer Account Services to determine if the 3rd party vendor has an existing integration with Nelnet).
