Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing, practiced her nursing profession at hospitals in Williston, Minot and Powers Lake, North Dakota, as well as Greybull, Wyoming, and Columbus, Montana. She was a public health nurse with the federal Indian Health Service at the Crow- Northern Cheyenne Hospital at Crow Agency, Montana, and the Three Affiliated Tribes' Community Health Clinic in New Town, North Dakota. She lived in Tioga, North Dakota.
