human development and education, taught school served as principal in Dazey, North Dakota, before moving to Fargo where he taught at Central High School. He was named Fargo Teacher of the Year. He also was the North Dakota director of the National Education Association as well as administrator for the Veterans and Youth Education programs at NDSU. He was a Fulbright Scholar. He lived in Fargo.
