leisure studies and recreation, and David Stordalen, BS '93, music education, are organizing a special 9/11 memorial event this fall in Rochester, Minnesota. They are bringing together the Minnesota Army National Guard Red Bull Division Band and the Rochester Symphony Chorale in a program that also will include speakers with civil service and military backgrounds. Melius is a member of the board of the Rochester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale and a singer in the Chorale, while Stordalen is the Red Bull Division Band director. The event is planned for the Mayo Civic Center Auditorium on Sept. 10, 2016.
