animal and range sciences, was appointed by Gov. Doug Burgum to serve as North Dakota’s next tax commissioner. He will serve out the remaining year of the unexpired four-year term of current Tax Commissioner Ryan Rauschenberger, who resigned Jan. 3. He previously was appointed to the Public Service Commission in 2017, elected by voters in 2018 and then re-elected in 2020.
