geology, was named director of the U.S. Geological Survey’s Idaho Water Science Center in Boise. The center provides scientific information about surface and ground water, water quality and water use to citizens and to local, state, Tribal and federal cooperators. In 2020, the U.S. Department of the Interior recognized him with its Meritorious Service Award.
