Endorsements

Endorsements are additional credentials you can add to your North Dakota teaching license. The endorsements are awarded by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction but NDSU offers online professional development classes that meet the criteria of the following endorsements.

 

Middle School Endorsement (ESPB-Approved)

The online Middle School Endorsement is satisfied by taking all four courses (ten semester hours) including 20 hours of applied experience.

These professional development classes for teachers are offered online and are approved for use toward the North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board (ESPB) Middle School Endorsement. The EDUC 2000 classes required for this endorsement are professional development credit and are not eligible for use on a graduate program of study.

English Learner Endorsement (ESPB-Approved)

The English Learner (EL) Endorsement consists of 16-semester hours including 2-semester hours of field teaching experience. These four online courses fulfill 8 of the semester hours including 2-semester hours of field experience for the endorsement.

These professional development classes for teachers are offered online and are approved for use toward the North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board (ESPB) EL Endorsement. The EDUC 2000 classes offered for this endorsement are professional development credit and are not eligible for use on a graduate program of study.

English Learner Endorsement Courses Offered

These are the courses NDSU currently offers for the English Learner Endorsement. The field teaching experience course will be available soon.
