Collaborators

The Department of Entomology actively seeks collaboration with numerous public and private organizations.  Faculty and students are involved in a number of collaborative research projects with groups on campus, throughout North Dakota, and beyond.  There are numerous opportunities for research and intellectual exchange available from these partnerships.

NDSU Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs

These programs offer graduate students additional options for their entomological research and career development. Students in these interdisciplinary programs are housed within entomology labs and their primary relationship is with their Entomology faculty advisor.

USDA-ARS Red River Valley Agricultural Research Center

There are a number of exceptional researchers at this facility, six of which specialize on arthropods and are adjunct faculty within the Entomology Department.  Other collaborative research involves USDA plant geneticists and plant breeders. Numerous collaborations between faculty, researchers, and students exist between USDA personnel and the department. Several entomology graduate students and post-docs have worked primarily in USDA labs.

North Dakota
Commodity Groups

We have a proud tradition of working with numerous commodity groups to help solve the entomological problems of North Dakota growers.  Some of the groups we collaborate include: National Sunflower Association, North Dakota Soybean Council, North Dakota Wheat Commission, Northern Canola Growers Association, National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants, ManDak Zero Till Farming Association, ND Department of Agriculture, ND Soybean Council, Northern Plains Potato Growers Association, and Minnesota Area II Potato Growers Council.
