All academic research studies approved by the Institutional Research Board (IRB) are not subject to mandated reporting requirements under Policy 156: Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Complaint Procedures.  Information provided in these research studies will not be considered a form of notice and will not be acted upon by NDSU.

Researchers are encouraged to include the information below in their communication to participants to ensure they have access to support services.

If you have experienced discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or sexual misconduct based upon a protected class or protected activity and want to file a formal complaint, you can submit a complaint to the Equal Opportunity and Title IX Compliance Office by using the online form here  https://www.ndsu.edu/equity/filing_a_report_or_complaint/, by emailing ndsu.eoaa@ndsu.edu, by calling 701-231-7708, or by visiting Old Main 201.

There are support services available for employees at Employee Assistance Program (EAP) who can be reached at 1-800-627-8220. EAP is a confidential resource.

There are support services available for students at NDSU Counseling Center (701-231-7671), NDSU Student Health Service (701-231-7331), or NDSU Sexual Assualt Prevention and Advocacy (701-231-5733), which are all confidential resources.
