Congratulations to Shokoofeh Ghasemi! Her paper on the environmental impacts of a soybean oil-based biocomposite was published in Molecules. In her work, she investigates the life cycle environmental impacts of a biocomposite made from epoxidized sucrose soyate and flax fiber in comparison to a BPA-based composite. This work shows that ESS-based biocomposite performs better in almost all investigated environmental impacts categories including global warming compared to a functionally comparable fully petroleum-based composite.
