Dec 2019 – Dr. Ramamoorthy elected Chair for the National Committee for the Detection and Control of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus and Emerging Viral Diseases of Swine (NC-229)

Nov 2019 – Dr. Ramamoorthy participates in an educational exchange program with the Madras Veterinary college, Chennai, India, sponsored by the National Higher Education in Agriculture Project (NAHEP) funded by the Indian Counsel of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the World Bank.

Nov 2019 – Dr. Ramamoorthy delivers a keynote lecture onNovel approaches to Veterinary Vaccines” at the International conference on The Current Scenario and Future Strategies of disease control for Augmenting Livestock and Poultry Productivity Under Changing Climatic Conditions. Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, India.

May 2019 – Gagandeep Singh and Marvin Ssemadaali graduate with a PhD

Dec 2018 – AGM Rakibuzzaman and Marvin Ssemadaali win the 1st place poster awards for immunology and virology respectively at CRWAD 2018

Nov 2018 – Dr. Ramamoorthy awarded the Larson and Yaggie research award for the College of Agriculture, NDSU.

June 2018 – Dr. Ramamoorthy awarded an USDA-NIFA foundational grant entitled First-Response Vaccines for Emergency Preparedness.

April 2018 – Dr. Ramamoorthy serves as a panelist for the NIH RO1 funding opportunity “Dual Purpose with Dual Benefit: Research in Biomedicine and Agriculture”

April 2018 – Gagandeep Singh and Dr. Ramamoorthy inducted into the Gamma Sigma Delta honor society for Agriculture
