NDSU Policy 333.1: Each course taught at NDSU shall have a syllabus to provide specific class information for students and to fulfill federal and other legal requirements.

The following categories of information shall be included on all syllabi:

1. Course prefix, catalog number, credits, and title
2. Instructor and contact information
3. Bulletin description
4. Course objectives
5. Evaluation procedures and criteria
6. Attendance
7. Course schedule/outline/calendar of events
8. Student resources
9. American with Disabilities Act statement
10. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) statement
11. Approved academic honesty statement
