NDSU Advance FORWARD was awarded the President’s Diversity Council Impact Award in 2008.

The Impact Award was created in 2007 to recognize individuals, groups and units that have demonstrated a significant contribution to advancing diversity as related to the President's Diversity Council Strategic Plan for Diversity, Equity and Community.


Award recipients have engaged in positive interactions with others, respecting and valuing differences in backgrounds and points of view. The criteria for selection for the Impact Award include a commitment to the spirit of diversity; leadership through positive interaction among persons of different backgrounds and identities; and behavior that illustrates commitment to inclusion of persons within the institution who are members of traditionally under-represented groups.
