North Dakota Governor's School Scholarship

In 2015, Mr. Lonnie Hass, former NDGS Director, established a scholarship endowment for NDGS alum who will attend North Dakota State University. This endowment will annually provide one (1) scholarship for an incoming freshman student at NDSU who has successfully completed the North Dakota Governor's School program.

To be eligible for this scholarship, an individual must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have completed the NDGS program.
  2. Be an entering freshman at NDSU.
  3. Be properly enrolled at NDSU at the time of scholarship disbursement.
  4. Have demonstrated continued pursuit of excellence since participating in NDGS.

Preference will be given to individuals who have received awards or recognition at the state level or higher.

DEADLINE: The scholarship application must be submitted by March 31, 2017 to receive consideration. Submissions received after this date will not be reviewed.


In addition to completing the application, please arrange for a current high school transcript to be sent to:

Applications will be reviewed starting on April 1, 2017. The scholarship recipient will be notified no later than May 1, 2017.
