The College of Health Professions is an official Community Partner of Madison Elementary School. Faculty, staff, and students in the College have the opportunity to be matched with an elementary student at Madison. College mentors meet their Madison mentees once a week during lunch and recess. The program helps Madison students foster relationships with positive role models in their community. At the end of the fall semester we invite our mentees to Sudro Hall for lunch and an “End of the Semester” party, where they are also able to see classes and offices in a college setting. Mentors are asked to make a long-term commitment to the mentorship program, meeting with their mentee throughout each academic year through their 5th grade year.
