Annual FABO Fashion Show Highlight

This year’s FABO Fashion Show looked a little different than in years past. Instead of a typical face-to-face fashion show, students decided to produce a virtual show through social media in light of social distancing guidelines.

The show that took place April 29-30 was titled “RE: Fashion”. It focused on sustainability in the fashion industry. Students highlighted local designers, student designers and retailers that practice sustainability in their products through a series of posts on the FABO Facebook page.

“Students worked in committees with the goals of reusing, thrift or vintage shopping and buying local. All of these goals were honored in the online format,” said Sara Sunderlin, faculty adviser for the group. “I am proud that the students have come together to see this vision through.”

The students worked with small businesses and showed a strong desire to help them now when they can’t operate in their usual mode of business.
