The College of Human Sciences and Education voted in the Fall of 2009 to adopt the Honor Code. Work to create a code for the College began in Spring Semester 2008. The idea originated in a subcommittee of the Human Development and Education Leadership Council. Faculty and students had reviewed and provided input for the code that was approved in 2009.
The purpose of the Honor Code:
- Supports the integrity of our College and our students by maintaining high standards of honor and professional conduct.
- Provides a foundation for honesty and professional expectations among members of the College and offers a formal plan to address dishonesty and misconduct.
- Allows for the College's students to ensure that everyone in their College is honest and professional and that violations are dealt with fairly.
