This method is a quantitative measurement technique that assesses the survival of bacterial inoculums deposited between the tested antimicrobial surface and a thin plastic film that keeps the inoculum hydrated in a nutrient-rich environment throughout a 24 h incubation at 35 ºC. The figure above illustrates the JIS Z 2801 method.
