LGBTQ Resource Room, Memorial Union 122 - The resource room contains a library of LGBTQ readings and films that the Bison Family can borrow, two computer work stations open to students, and comfortable lounge seating. This is a wonderful space for formal and informal meetings of all sorts as well as study. 

Name and Gender Change Procedures- Follow this link to learn more about the procedures for legal name and gender change at NDSU. There are some documents required to change a legal name and/or listed gender. Please note that one need not have a legal name change to list a preferred name in our system.

Preferred Name Change Procedure - This link will explain how to add a preferred name, and where one's preferred name is utilized in our system. Trans students can be assured that every effort is made to ensure that they are not having to go by their dead/former name.

LGBTQA+ Roommate Matching - The Department of Residence Life is committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students who live on campus. The LGBTQ & Ally Roommate Matching process has been established for students who would like to room with someone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, or is an ally (LGBTQA). 

Student Health Services - Student Health Service provides access to quality healthcare while promoting overall student well-being by empowering them with the knowledge, skills and spirit to take responsibility for personal, family and community health.

Counseling CenterThe NDSU Counseling Center provides a confidential setting in which students may explore concerns of a personal or academic nature; makes referrals; and serves as consultants for faculty and staff. Students in counseling can explore a variety of concerns which may prevent them from functioning at their optimum levels. 

Title IX- The Office in compliance with Federal Law to ensure that NDSU is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and non-discriminatory learning environment for all members of the University community that is free from sex and/or gender discrimination of any kind. Reports of harassment or discrimination should be made here.

Library Resources - The Library maintains a list of social and academic resources for LGBTQIA2S+ people at NDSU. Look at their site to get a sense of other resources not listed here.

Sexual Assault Prevention and Advocacy  - Helping survivors of sexual assault or relationship violence understand both their rights as a student and the resources/options available on and off campus. Regardless of your decision there are people at NDSU who care and are committed to supporting survivors and working toward a campus free from violence.

Scholarship and Tuition Assistance - This webpage provides information about NDSU scholarships and external sources of funding which are available to LGBTQ students.  

Campus Gender Neutral/Unisex Restroom Map - In a commitment to becoming more inclusive, the number of gender neutral restrooms is growing every year. This map identifies those which presently exist on our campus,
