I'm genuinely excited about the opportunity to bring history, art, and culture to life in ways that resonate with a diverse audience. There's something special about creating a space where people can connect with stories and experiences that broaden their perspectives. I'm particularly excited about how the museum will serve as a community hub—fostering conversations, sparking curiosity, and inspiring creativity. It’s not just about displaying artifacts; it’s about making those artifacts relevant and engaging to people today, using innovative approaches to create meaningful, personal connections.

I'm excited for people in the NDSU community to be able to see all of the hidden aspects of the various collections throughout each area and be exposed to new things!

I'm excited to be highlighting collections which are often hidden away in storage. These objects capture exact moments in history and it's a beautiful thing to let them echo through time with display.

Learning a little bit more and interacting with some of the history we have catalogued here on our campus.

What are you excited about as we launch this new museum?
I am excited that the old biological collection that has been hidden away for years will final start to see use again. We have a pretty sizeable collection of unique mounted specimens that are over a century old. They have been very well taken care of in the past, so they are in great condition. With the start of a museum program, the collection can be put in the spotlight and greater attention may be given to their care so the collection can last for many years to come.
