Fargo, N.D. — Samee U. Khan, NDSU assistant professor in electrical and computer engineering, received the best paper award at the inaugural International Conference on Green Computing and Communications (GreenCom) in Hangzhou, China, in December 2010. GreenCom was jointly sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He shares this award with his colleagues from the University of Luxembourg for the paper, "DENS: Data Center Energy-Efficient Network-Aware Scheduling."
