NDSU Computer Science Professor Gives Keynote Address

Fargo, N.D. – Kendall E. Nygard, professor of computer science and operations research at NDSU, delivered an invited keynote address at the InfoSys 2012 conference on March 25-30 in St. Maarten, Netherlands, Antilles. The conference is an annual series of four co-located conferences, including The International Conference on Networking and Services, The International Conference on Autonomic and Autonomous Systems, The International Conference of Resource Intensive Applications and Services, and The International Conference on Smart Grids, Green Communications and IT Energy-aware Technologies. The InfoSys Conference is sponsored by the International Academy, Research and Industry Association. Nygard’s keynote address is titled “Research Directions in Sensor Networks.” Nygard also presented the session paper, “Decision Support Independence in a Smart Grid.” The paper was co-written by NDSU graduate students Steve Bou Ghosn, Prakash Ranganathan, Md. Minhaz Chowdhury, Ryan McCulloch, Md. M. Khan, Anand Panday and NDSU undergraduate student Davin Loegering.
