New Faculty Start-Up Program announces call for proposals

The North Dakota Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research, known as ND EPSCoR, invites NDSU department chairs, department heads, deans, recruiting department chair positions and directors of the ND EPSCoR-designated Research Initiative to submit proposals under its Infrastructure Improvement New Faculty Start-Up program. The competitive proposals are for start-up funds to hire tenure-track research faculty during fiscal year 2017.

The major goal of the program is to attract highly qualified tenure-track faculty to our research-intensive universities who will be nationally competitive for grants from federal agency research programs in science, engineering and mathematics.

Persons applying are asked to submit Letters of Intent by noon, Wednesday, July 1. Full proposals are due in the ND EPSCoR office prior to noon, Thursday, Aug. 6. Interviews with an external review committee will be held on the University of North Dakota campus Oct. 20-21. Complete submission information can be found at www.ndepscor.nodak.edu/rfps/index.htm.

Questions may be directed to the campus ND EPSCoR office at 701-231-8400 or Elizabeth Jung at 701-231-1048 and <link users davenilles library caches temporaryitems>elizabeth.jung@ndsu.edu.
