A study on the accessibility of grocery stores to university students using public transportation was recently published in Cogent Engineering by NDSU transportation and logistics doctoral student Nimish Dharmadhikari and EunSu Lee, former researcher with NDSU’s Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute who is now an assistant professor at New Jersey City University.
The article, “Average opportunity-based accessibility of public transit systems to grocery stores in small urban areas,” used Fargo as a case study and described a new method for calculating the average accessibility measure for transit routes. View the paper here.
