Three NDSU undergraduate students attended the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) at the University of Central Oklahoma April 4-7, 2018. 

From Anthropology and Sociology, Alexandra Howatt (2017 graduate) and Isabel Krum presented “Healthy Women are Beautiful Women: Health and Beauty Standards at the Crystal Palace.” Their advisor is Kristen Fellows.

Electrical and Computer Engineering student Nathan Johnson presented "Manipulation of Biological Matter Using Electrodeless Dielectrophoresis." His advisor is Dharmakeerthi Nawarathna.

Established in 1987, NCUR is an annual event dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity in all fields of study. More than 4,000 students from across the U.S. presented their research through posters, oral presentations, visual arts, and performances this year. 

The NDSU students were poster and oral presentation awardees from the 4th Annual NDSU EXPLORE event held on November 1, 2017. The NCUR trip was sponsored by the NDSU Research and Creative Activity Office.
