Student-athletes receive academic honors

NDSU men’s basketball student-athletes Jordan Aaberg, Mike Felt and Chris Kading were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court.

Student-athletes must have junior or senior academic standing and a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher at the end of the academic year to qualify for the court. Aaberg and Felt were seniors for the 2013-14 season, and Kading was a sophomore but a junior in academic standing.

This is the third straight year Aaberg has been named to the Honors Court. The Rothsay, Minnesota, native posted a 3.42 cumulative GPA with a major in management information systems.

Felt, from Redwood Falls, Minnesota, recorded a 3.28 cumulative GPA majoring in physical and health education.

Kading of De Pere, Wisconsin, is majoring in exercise science and owns a 3.79 cumulative GPA.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
