Rhonda Kitch has been named registrar at North Dakota State University following a national search. She served as associate registrar for 10 years and was appointed interim registrar in May. 

Kitch has worked in higher education for 18 years, with experience in registration and records, admission and residence life. She is active in regional and national professional associations and was honored with the exemplary service award by the Upper Midwest Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.

“Rhonda is well-prepared for the important role of registrar at NDSU. She is a competent leader in her profession, both on campus, within the state of North Dakota and in her professional association,” said Laura Oster-Aaland, dean of enrollment management. “She is highly regarded due to her empathetic approach to student concerns, her dedication to her staff and her integrity in upholding university policy. I am confident Rhonda will provide the leadership necessary to sustain the quality work already taking place in the Office of Registration and Records while embracing the innovation necessary to serve the university into the future.”

Kitch earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Minot State University and a master’s degree in counseling and student affairs from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She is currently a doctoral candidate in NDSU’s education doctorate program.
