‘America’s Got Talent’ seeking participants from NDSU

Representatives from NBC’s television show, “America’s Got Talent,” are teaming up with universities and colleges across North Dakota to spread the word on casting calls for the show’s fourth season. They want to encourage students, faculty, staff and alumni of NDSU to come to an audition or mail in a video of their act.

With talent searches open to any act of any age, “America’s Got Talent” has brought the variety format to the forefront of American culture by showcasing the best performers from across the country.

Each week, the show features an array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, pets, musicians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, all vying for their chance to perform on stage in front of a panel of celebrity judges and the viewing audience in the hope that they will be chosen the winner. The winner will receive $1 million and a headline show on the Las Vegas strip.

For season four, representatives from “America's Got Talent” are planning a nationwide audition tour starting in January. Auditions are scheduled in cities including New York; Los Angeles; Chicago; Washington, D.C.; and Austin, Texas.

Representatives are casting now. For more information or to register, go to If you cannot attend an audition, “America’s Got Talent” still wants to see you shine. Go to as soon as possible for instructions on how to submit a video of your performance.
