Gold Star Band to give free concert

The NDSU Gold Star Marching Band is set to present "Sounds of the Gridiron," a concert scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. in the Fargodome. The concert is free and open to the public.

The band will march and perform its 2015 Bison pre-game show with select standards from its halftime show. The rousing music is intended to boost school spirit.

The Gold Star Marching Band includes 175 students in 63 majors as diverse as veterinary science, criminal justice and accounting. More than 80 percent of the members are pursuing majors other than music.
