NDSU student-athletes named to Honors Court

Five NDSU men’s basketball players were named to the NABC Honors Court, announced July 26 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Chris Kading, Dexter Werner, A.J. Jacobson, Paul Miller and Spencer Eliason earned the academic recognition for the Bison.

Student-athletes must have junior or senior academic standing and a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher at the end of the academic year to qualify for the Honors Court.

Jacobson and Miller were also both named CoSIDA Academic All-District performers and third-team Academic All-Americans during the season.

Kading, from De Pere, Wisconsin, posted a 3.84 GPA as an exercise science major. Werner, who is from Bismarck, North Dakota, owns a 3.44 GPA with a major in marketing. Jacobson is from Fargo and has a 3.99 GPA in zoology/pre-dentistry. Miller, who is from Waukesha, Wisconsin, has a 3.64 GPA as an accounting major. Eliason is from Chadron, Nebraska, and has a 3.56 GPA majoring in zoology.
