NDSU College of Business ranked in top 100 for supply chain research

Szmerekovsky

NDSU’s College of Business is ranked among the top 100 empirical supply chain research universities. The ranking was based on the Supply Chain Management Journal List, compiled by the SCM Congress.

Each year’s rankings are based on research published in premiere journals during the previous five years. NDSU is ranked 82 in empirical research.

“We’re in good company on the list,” said professor Joseph Szmerekovsky, associate director of NDSU’s transportation and logistics program. “It’s a nice ranking in terms of the work from our faculty and students.”

Szmerekovsky, professor Chanchai Tangpong and associate professor Jin Li contributed to published works that SCM used to calculate the rankings. The faculty work with graduate students to develop research based on a range of supply chain concepts, depending on the students’ interests.

“It’s validation of a lot of hard work,” said Szmerekovsky.

NDSU’s College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International and enrolls more than 1,500 undergraduate students and nearly 100 graduate students.
