Memorial Union Gallery to feature works of Dali, Picasso, Warhol

The Memorial Union Gallery is set to host a special exhibition of selected items from its seven collections Nov. 8-17. A reception is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

“We opened up the vault and reveal over 100 pieces on the walls of the gallery; some have never been seen before. These works include pieces by Pablo Picasso, Judy Chicago, Frank Stella, Andy Warhol, Ken Grey Wind, Jasper Johns, Salvador Dali and Francis Goya,” explained Anthony Faris, gallery director. “In addition, one of the works we purchased last year by Emmitt Smith is installed in the gallery.”

The exhibition is sponsored, in part, by a grant by the Arts Partnership.

The gallery, which is located on the second floor of the Memorial Union, is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
