NDSU offers new PeopleSoft service to employees

A new service from PeopleSoft will be available to NDSU employees beginning Aug. 4. The new function will give employees access to personal information, payroll and compensation and benefits.

The personal information section will allow employees to view and change their address information, phone numbers, emergency contacts, e-mail addresses, marital status and ethnic group. It also allows employees to view and change their data privacy status.

The Office of Human Resources/Payroll will be offering informational sessions in July and August to walk through the self-service screens. The first two sessions are Tuesday, July 28, at 9 a.m., and Friday, July 31, at 2 p.m. Both sessions are in the Memorial Union Century Theater. More sessions will be available at a later date.

The payroll and compensation section will allow employees to view current and past paychecks, view direct deposit, view W-4 tax information and view voluntary deductions they have elected. It also provides a section to view W-2 tax information from 2005-08 or request that a W-2 be mailed to them.

The benefits sections will allow employees to view the benefits they have enrolled in and the amount of coverage they have elected for those benefits. This section is view only and will not allow employees to make changes.

For more information, contact the Office of Human Resources/Payroll at 1-8990.
