NDSU distance runner Elliott Stone has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 6 team in Division I men’s track and field and cross country. The announcement was made May 29 by the College Sports Information Directors of America, known as CoSIDA.

Stone, who is from Bismarck, North Dakota, owns a 4.0 cumulative GPA with a major in mechanical engineering. He completed his junior season of cross country and his sophomore seasons of indoor and outdoor track in the 2017-18 academic year.

Stone is a three-time Summit League Academic All-League honoree. He was a member of the NDSU engineering and computer science team that competed at NASA’s Robotic Mining Competition last summer. He will advance to the national ballot for Google Cloud Academic All-America honors, to be announced in late June.
