How first-year students apply for housing

Once you are admitted to NDSU, you can sign up for housing.

First-year students are guaranteed housing on campus, and applying early gives you more opportunity to get the room and hall of your choice.

If you apply for housing by March 1, you will be eligible to pick your own room. Students who apply after March 1 will receive room assignments from Residence Life before attending on-campus orientation.

Here’s how to apply for housing:

1. You’ll need to use your claimed System ID. If you’re not sure if you’ve claimed your ID, you can verifyonline.

2. Log in to Campus Connection. Under “Self-Service,” select “On-Campus Housing.” Follow the prompts to complete your application, or view the instructional video. Please use Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox as your browser.

3. Now you can find a roommate. Get more information on the four ways incoming freshman can be matched with a roommate

4.  You will receive a confirmation email after selecting a room and roommate. Your choices also will be listed on Campus Connection. If you apply after March 1, you will be notified by email about your room and roommate.
