NDSU plans Pan-Africa Night

The North Dakota State University community will celebrate cultures, talents and heritages of people from black descent at Pan-Africa Night on Saturday, Feb. 27, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Festival Concert Hall. The audience will experience the talent of Ugandan, Cameroonian, African-American, Sudanese, Somalian and other black cultures.

Food will be served and the show will include hip-hop, jazz, dance, spoken word art, poetry, fashion, storytelling, acts, skits, folklore and oral narrative.

An afterparty is planned from 9:30 p.m. to midnight in the Memorial Union, Plains room.

Tickets for both events are free, but must be picked up in the Office of Multicultural Programs, Memorial Union 178.

Sponsors include 3M; the Office of Multicultural Programs; Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences; Black Student Association; African Student Union; Office of International Programs; and Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach.
