How first-year students apply for housing

It’s easy for first-year NDSU students to apply for on-campus housing. After you’ve been admitted to NDSU, you can submit your housing application and license agreement online.

Just follow these simple steps:

1. Use your claimed North Dakota University System (NDUS) ID. If you’re not sure if you’ve claimed it, you can verify online.

2. Log into Campus Connection using your NDUS credentials. Under the NavBar, choose “Navigator,” then “Self-Service” and “On-Campus Housing.” Follow the prompts to complete your application. If you’d like a demonstration, check out the instructional video

3. After your application is complete, you can find a roommate. There are three ways to do so.

In March, you can log in again and assign yourself to a room and residence hall of your choice. Selection priority is given based on application date, so apply early for the best chance to get your top choice. Details about room selection will be available online by February 2020.

“You’re going to love living on campus,” said Rian Nostrum, director of Residence Life. “With great amenities, a variety of living environments and friends around every corner, the Residence Life experience is a positive part of your time at NDSU. From your freshman year until you graduate, we have convenient, affordable and fun options for everyone.”
