It’s time to apply for housing if you will be a freshman at NDSU in the fall.

Incoming NDSU students get to select their residence hall room in March through the online room self-selection process. Priority is determined by application date—the sooner you apply, the better your chances of getting the hall and room of your choice. 

“Through this process, you are completely in the driver’s seat,” said Tara Ferkinhoff, assistant director of marketing in the Department of Residence Life and Dining. “You can look at what’s available and then select the hall and room that appeals to you.” 

Which option is best? “If you ask students which hall is the best, all of them will reply that it is the hall they live in,” Ferkinhoff said. “Every hall develops a tight knit community of friends. Each has unique features and amenities and they all are filled with students who want to make their on-campus living experience the best.”
