NDSU visual arts professor’s paper selected for conference

Kimble Bromley

Kim Bromley, professor of visual arts, had his paper selected for the SECAC 2020 conference hosted on Oct. 21-24 by Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

Bromley’s paper “Essence of Place” will be included in the session, RE(:)Thinking Space.

“I’m excited to share with the conference my pond paintings and the beautiful location where I have set up my outdoor studio,” Bromley said.

SECAC (formerly the Southeastern College Art Conference) is a non-profit organization that promotes the study and practice of the visual arts in higher education on a national basis.  The conference originally was scheduled to take place in Richmond, but due to the pandemic has been moved entirely online.

In addition, Bromley will serve as a Minnesota State Arts Board grant panelist.  A new grant process recently has been implemented and all grants will now be reviewed online beginning in August.
