Disability Services, located in Suite 17 in the lower level of the Main Library, processes students’ accommodation requests and provides answers to disability-related questions regarding student needs.

"Disability Services values diversity and seeks to alleviate competitive disadvantages and environmental barriers that impact learning,” said Mark Coppin, Disability Services director. “We do that by coordinating support services and programs that enable equal access to education and university life. We work closely with students and faculty to empower students, enhance equity and promote an environment of innovation and inclusion."

If you have a diagnosed disability, Disability Services can:

• Determine appropriate accommodations that provide equal access in the classroom.

• Assist with providing reasonable housing and dining accommodations.

• Provide support and training for assistive technologies.

• Assist in coordinating services for students with temporary disabilities.

• Consult with students, faculty and staff about Disability Services.

• Assist students regarding skills for self-advocacy, study and self-management.

Disability Services works closely with other NDSU units to assist students. The office works with TRIO Student Support Services, ACE Tutoring, the Counseling Center and other university departments to provide a wide range of options and supports for students.
