NDSU online nursing program ranked best in state

NDSU’s online RN to BSN degree program is ranked as the best in North Dakota and is listed in the “Best RN to BSN program in Every State for 2021” by NursingProcess.org.

According to NursingProcess.org, it established rankings after evaluating accredited online RN to BSN programs in the U.S. “Our site simplifies access to information about nursing and healthcare education and careers,” according to the group’s website, which NursingProcess.org says reaches more than 100,000 students every month, from all over the country.

The organization evaluated online nursing programs based on:

• Academic quality

• Affordability

• Reputation of the school

• NursingProcess.org editorial staff ratings

NDSU’s RN to BSN program is available completely online, making it possible for nurses with associate degrees to work full-time or part-time while seeking a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

There are no application fees for fall 2021.

NDSU’s online program also was named 2nd in the U.S. by BestColleges.com in 2020.

“We strive to provide flexible ways for nurses to continue to advance their careers,” said Carla Gross, associate dean and chair of the NDSU School of Nursing.

After completing one semester in the online NDSU RN to BSN program, eligible students who meet criteria can receive up to 25 competency credits at no cost. In addition, eligible students who meet criteria may pursue a direct admission option to the NDSU online RN to BSN program when they complete their associate degree in nursing.

Nurses interested in the program receive personalized advising from an NDSU nursing faculty member.

“The program provides flexibility for busy nurses who want to transform their nursing practice,” said Holly L. Sandhurst, director of the online RN to BSN program.

The NDSU School of Nursing in the College of Health Professions provides bachelor’s and graduate nursing education. Programs are available for part- and full-time students, working professionals and those seeking online educational opportunities.
