The NDSU Collegiate Cattlewomen are partnering with Cactus Cares to host the Beefin’ it up Fuel for the Finish 5-kilometer/10-kilomer walk or run at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. The event will benefit local food insecurity initiatives.

Cost is $35 and a complimentary t-shirt will be provided to participants who register before April 1. Registration ends on April 18. Lunch is scheduled for 11 a.m. and race awards are slated for 12:30 p.m. The event’s planned route begins at Loftsgard Hall on the NDSU campus.

Cactus Cares, a non-profit based in Texas, is committed to feeding a hungry world, starting with family, friends and neighborhoods across the United States. The group partners with universities to purchase protein from the on-campus meat laboratory and donate to local feeding initiatives in the community.

Proceeds from the Fargo event will benefit local food pantries, including the pantry at NDSU. Visit the race registration website for more information.

NDSU Collegiate Cattlewomen is an NDSU student organization that promotes the livestock industry and works for better beef publicity through philanthropic and leadership activities.
