The NDSU women's soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2021-2022 academic year.

To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The Bison posted a 3.43 team GPA for 2021-2022. 

A total of 797 soccer teams (298 men, 499 women) across all levels of college soccer (NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA) received the honor. The Bison were joined by fellow Summit League programs at the University of South Dakota and South Dakota State University in being recognized.
