Awards and Recognition
1st Place, 2016 Innovation Challenge Social Track
Team Carbon Negative Dr. Jack Norland (Adviser), Jade Monroe, Alexis Steinman, Jesse Riley, earned 1st place in the 2016 Innovation Challenge Social Track.
Team Carbon Negative's mission is to help communities effectively sequester carbon and create new revenue streams so local leaders can address community needs while investing in the quality of life for future generations.
2015 Natural Resource Communication Award
Graduate student, Lisa Preister, received the Natural Resource Communication Award for Best Student Poster at the North Dakota Chapter of The Wildlife Society 2015 annual conference. Her poster presentation on 'Smooth Brome (Bromus inermis) Phenology in Northern Tallgrass Prairie' was awarded for excellence in presentation of natural resource information. Lisa's advisor is Dr. Edward "Shawn" DeKeyser.
