Jeffry Volk and Jeanie Volk are the recipients of the 2017 Service Award from the NDSU Foundation and Alumni Association, which recognizes service and leadership in fundraising. Jeffry is a 1977 civil engineering graduate, and Jeanie is a 1976 nursing graduate.

The Volks have been engaged with the NDSU Foundation and Alumni Association for several years. They are each members of the President’s Silver Medal Society, and have established the Volk Family Engineering Endowment Scholarship and Jeanie and Jeffry Volk Nursing Endowment Scholarship.

“NDSU has a special place in our hearts. It is where we met, graduated and began our 40-year partnership,” Jeffry and Jeanie remembered.

“NDSU provided us with many opportunities to grow as individuals, develop lifelong friendships and be successful in our professional careers. Our hope is the Volk Family Scholarships for nursing and engineering students will assist others to reach their career goals. We believe NDSU’s ongoing success is critical to enhance continued business growth in our community, region and state.
