Brady Beer has been named Outstanding Graduate in the NDSU School of Nursing at Sanford Health, Bismarck, Class of December 2021.

Beer, from Lemmon, South Dakota, has been involved in Student Council, Student Nurses Association, and tutoring during her time as a nursing student.

“I want to be there for people to help guide them through the process, provide education, and advocate for my patients,” said Beer of building her nursing career.

The December graduate said through her nursing education, she learned most from the hands-on classes in Simulation Lab, as well as her clinical experiences. Beer said the program at NDSU School of Nursing at Sanford Health provided her with an ability to lead, be involved in nursing-related clubs and activities, and connect with faculty and classmates.

“Our faculty appreciate Brady’s kind, respectful, and thoughtful approach to nursing,” said Charys Kunkel, director of nursing and assistant professor of practice at NDSU School of Nursing at Sanford Health.

Beer will begin her nursing career in Bismarck, North Dakota, working in rapid evaluation and response, with the goal of one day becoming a flight nurse.

Beer received her nursing pin at a ceremony in Bismarck on December 10. NDSU holds Winter Commencement Ceremonies on Friday, December 17 at 5 p.m. for students in Health Professions at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex, Fargo.

NDSU School of Nursing at Sanford Health provides small class sizes and personal attention in its high-quality, nationally accredited program. Students are admitted in both fall and spring semesters. Programs are available for: Pre-licensure BSN and Doctor of Nursing Practice/Family Nurse Practitioner.
